OIL & GAS: Thick polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) coating for pipes, elbows, joints


- Gladiator Spartacus, in the pressure operating mode, has been specifically designed to offer a very high flow rate of powder delivered so as to satisfy the need of quickly injecting large quantities of PE or PP (2-3mm-thick layers) on gas pipes, elbows, joints, to make up the top layer in the 3-layer coating system.
- Powder flow rate (up to 2kg of powder per minute)* * this value depends on the grade of powder used, specifically on its granulometry
- Gladiator Spartacus is also suitable for spraying fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) and adhesive (tie-layer)

The new Repair gun, fitted with hand-grip and trigger for powder delivery, is particularly suitable to perform filling and repair works as well as operations in limited spaces

INTERNAL PIPE COATING IN MANUAL MODE
Internal coating for pipes with thermoplastic powder (minimum diameter: 130mm; max length: 12 m.).
Pipes, externally preheated by means of a sole super-heater, or by linear heaters for long pipes in automatic mode, are internally coated with thermoplastic powder (e.g., PHC-A) uniformly sprayed by means of the special IBIX rotating nozzle

- Pipe internal coating via IBIX rotating nozzle (in manual mode) with PHC-A powder

- External coating with PHC-A powder

- Internal coating with PHC-A powder performed via IBIX rotating nozzle 800 micron thick

The internal coating system for pipes through Gladiator Spartacus and the IBIX rotating nozzle can be automated. In fact, TECNO SUPPLY has designed a flexible system for the automatic internal coating of pipes made up of:
- Pipe automatic rotating system
- Preheating system through a set of linear heaters
- Automatic feeding system for the spraying gun with rotating nozzle
- Gladiator Spartacus connected to the spraying gun
